The Green Schools National Network and The Carbon Almanac

Attention Informal Science Educators!

Curious to know how you can move the needle on the climate crisis in your public programs?

Here is one idea you’ll want to explore. Take note that this event happens tomorrow, August 11.

You are invited to join a discussion with early contributors to The Carbon Almanac.

Hosted by the Green Schools National Network, but open to all, please come learn how you can partner with the global team of creators behind The Carbon Almanac.

This resource has the potential to be a powerful instructional tool for educators and learners alike AND also has an educator’s guide (complete with activities and lesson plans) as well as a Kid’s Book tailored specifically to primary grade learners.

The team who built these materials was composed of educators, instructional designers, parents, curriculum developers and experts in many fields and from many countries and 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the Almanac are being used to buy copies for educators and non-profits (like us!).

We will be hosting an interactive webinar on Thursday, August 11, at 3 ET/ 2 CT/ 1 MT/ Noon PT to gauge your interest and answer your questions so that we can determine how these materials can best support your classroom planning as we head into the new school year.

Register below and mark your calendars!

The webinar will be moderated by Jennifer Simpson, CEO of Integrated Work and The Carbon Almanac contributor, and Jennifer Seydel, Executive Director of the Green Schools National Network.

Panelists will include:

  • Seth Godin internationally recognized author of 20+ books and catalyst for The Carbon Almanac

  • Manon Doran, an artist and change-maker who helped bring the educator’s guide 1 to life

  • Paige NeJaime, a business leader and entrepreneur who shepherded Kid’s Book from idea to implementation
