Episode 2: Gretchen Halpert, Scientific Illustrator

Gretchen Halpert is the founder of the Scientific Illustration Distance Program. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design/CE, Gretchen has many years of experience working as a scientific illustrator and as an instructor of natural science illustration. Her illustrations have been featured in magazines and books, and have been included in research papers and on commercial products.

The Scientific Illustration Distance Program is composed of four 10-week sessions and includes a ten-week internship or independent study project. Through her program, Gretchen inspires a new generation of science communicators.
